BIOS Firmware Issues

(Always Boots Straight To Windows)





This topic is for older machines that do not have EFI firmware or an EFI partition.


In some cases, Microsoft updates change the boot order on your machine.

This causes the machine to boot straight to Windows.

You never see the Grub2Win boot menu.


If this happens, run Grub2Win and click the blue "Refresh The BIOS Boot Code" button.


This should restore the boot order.


Now reboot and verify that the Grub2Win boot menu appears properly.
